Rosalia Vila known as Rosalia is an Spanish Pop/Flamenco singer. Involved in the margins of traditional and popular music since she was a teenager, she is also involved in other styles like hip-hop soul and trap. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela has described her voice as delicate and sharp, yet featuring the sharpness of older singers. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough topping the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually getting the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd came out in 2021. It was her third studio album. Motomami collaborated on songwriting with numerous producers and artists including Cory Henry and James Blake. The release came in the month of March 2022, following performances of the single Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was first Spanish singer who performed as a solo performer on the show. Motomami was the sole female ever to be the winner of the Latin Album of the Year two times in addition to three Latin Grammy Awards.
