Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to traditional and old boleros, and classic romantic songs and the Ranchero style. Ana loves tangos as well drama and opera. When she was 16 years old, she began to sing and study the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to give her more intense vocal instruction. She studied in Guadalajara at the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in The School of Sacred Music. In her early career, she saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups and chamber groups in Guadalajara. After 2000, she emigrated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private events and also as part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Alongside being an active performer as well as an instructor the passion for art and music has her active in a variety of projects. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes that by sharing her knowledge her love of Latin American traditional songs, to inspire a love, especially in the younger generations, for keeping this music in the present.
